8 medium turnips, cut into 3" strips
8 medium carrots, cut into 3" strips
8 small beets, cut into 3" strips
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper Recipe
Choose turniops that are small but heavy for their size, with firm roots and bright-colored leaves. Prheat oven to 350ºF. Arrange turnips in a nonstick bakign sdish lightly sprayed with nonfat cookign spray and roast for 15 minutes. Add carrots and beets and roast, turning several times, until vegetables are just tender, about 15 additional minutes. Sprinkle with pepper.
