Makes Two Dozen
List of Ingredients
1 C. Water
1/2 C. Butter
1 C. unsifted all-purpose flour
Dash of Salt
3-4 Eggs
Fat for frying
Powdered Sugar for dustingRecipe
Put water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add butter and as soon as it is melted, dump in the flour and salt. Stir over heat until mixture forms a mass. Cool slightly and then beat in eggs, one at a time, until smooth.
Put mixture in a pastry bag with a star tube and squeeze in spiral, cane shape, into deep fat heated to 370�. When brown, drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
