    1 cup dark rum
    1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
    1 cup artificial sweetener
    1/2 cup walnuts --
    chopped,pecans or
    almonds
    4 cups cranberries -- raw,
    fresh or frozen


    Recipe

    Put Splenda and rum in a saucepan. Heat to boiling. Add cranberries & lemon juice. Return to a boil, and lower heat to a low rolling boil, just above a simmer. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add chopped nuts, and mix in thoroughly. Cook 1-2 minutes longer. Remove from heat, cover, and let cool completely. The rum and lemon juice add tremendous richness and complexity to the sauce.
