    Olive Poppers

    Source of Recipe

    Tom Douglas' Seattle Kitchen

    List of Ingredients

    • 24 Kalamata olives
    • 1-1/2 cups Cheddar cheese
    • 3/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
    • 2 Tbsp milk
    • 9 Tbsp flour
    • 3 Tbsp butter
    • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
    • 3 Tbsp cream cheese, softened

    Instructions

    1. Mix flour and Cheddar cheese in a mixer. Add butter, Tabasco sauce, and salt. Slowly add milk and mix until a soft dough is formed.

    2. Pit the olives, then use your fingers to stuff them with the softened cream cheese. (Optional: you can add your favorite herbs to the cream cheese.)

    3. Pinch off small amounts of dough about the size of each olive. Flatten the ball of dough, then wrap it completely around the olive. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
