- 3 sticks butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 cups coarse yellow cornmeal
- 4 cups milk
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- Whipped honey butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in the eggs and cornmeal. Add alternately with milk the flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour into a greased 11x17-inch pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve large, warm squares with whipped honey butter.
Makes 24 servings.
