    List of Ingredients


    • 3 sticks butter
    • 1-1/2 cups sugar
    • 6 large eggs
    • 3 cups coarse yellow cornmeal
    • 4 cups milk
    • 4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 Tbsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp salt
    • Whipped honey butter


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    2. Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in the eggs and cornmeal. Add alternately with milk the flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour into a greased 11x17-inch pan.

    3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

      Serve large, warm squares with whipped honey butter.

      Makes 24 servings.
