Butter: Salty Maple Butter
Source of Recipe
From "Food, Gift, Love" by Maggie Battista
Recipe Introduction
"My Salty Maple Butter is delicious in the most obvious application — atop a pile of puffy pancakes. But it's also wonderful on freshly popped popcorn, morning toast or afternoon scone, or even on grilled carrots. If you're using homemade butter that's already salted, taste the final product before adding any extra salt. If you're not using homemade butter, a cultured butter would best suit this recipe."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ ½ cup homemade butter or 1 stick store-bought unsalted butter, room temperature
â—¦ 2 teaspoons light or dark maple syrup
â—¦ ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
Recipe
In a small bowl, mix the butter, maple syrup, and salt together with a flexible rubber spatula or fork until well combined. Scoop and press the butter into a clean jar, then run a knife around the inside edge of the jar to remove air pockets and make it fit. Seal and store in the fridge up to 1 week or in the freezer up to 3 months.
