Classic Cream Pound Cake

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Do not preheat oven.
Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. In large bowl, combine butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla; blend well.
- In medium bowl, combine flour and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with cream, beginning and ending with flour. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Place in cold oven. Turn temperature to 325° F. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled.
Makes 16 servings.
