Put 3 tablespoons of hogback or bacon fat in a pan. Heat up until it comes to a real smoke.
Dump in a can of cream-style corn. Add a handful of black pepper, a little bit of salt, and a bunch of sugar. Cook until most of the juice is out.
There you have it. It will get your attention. Quite a dish, it gets you really on your feet.
