One-Kettle Potatoes

List of Ingredients
- 1/4 pound slab bacon, ham, or salt pork, finely chopped
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups shelled fresh lima beans or one 10-ounce package frozen lima beans
- 2 pounds small red potatoes, cubed
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Combine bacon and water in a saucepan or Dutch oven; bring to a boil.
- Add beans and potatoes; cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes until beans and potatoes are tender and water is absorbed. Season with black pepper.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
