Nectarine-Plum Jam

- 1 pound nectarines
- 1 pound plums
- 1 package powdered pectin
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 7 cups sugar
Instructions
- Prepare home canning jars and lids according to manufacturer's directions. Peel and pit nectarines. Pit plums. Coarsely chop both fruits.
- Place chopped fruit, pectin and lemon juice in saucepan. Bring mixture to boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Add sugar, stirring to dissolve. Return mixture to rolling boil. Boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim foam, if necessary.
- Ladle hot jam into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch head space. Wipe jar rim clean. Place lid on jar with sealing ring touching glass. Screw band down evenly and firmly, just until a point of resistance is met. Process 15 minutes in boiling water canner.
Makes about six 12-ounce jars.
