List of Ingredients
- 1 gallon sliced, unpeeled cucumbers
- 2 to 3 large onions, sliced
- .
- -- Cold Solution --
- 4 cups sugar
- 4 cups vinegar
- 1/2 cup plain (pickling) salt
- 1 tsp alum
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1 tsp mustard seed
- 1 tsp turmeric
Instructions
- Pack cucumbers and sliced onions in jar, layering and packing firmly. Pour the cold solution over. Keep in refrigerator; pickles are ready to eat in about a month.
