Smoky Hot Beef Chili

- 1 Tbsp oil
- 3/4 lb. beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 medium green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 (28-oz.) cans Italian plum tomatoes, undrained, cut-up
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Liquid Smoke
- 1/2 tsp pepper

- 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and chopped
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Heat oil in large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef; cook 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is well browned. Stir in onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Stir in all remaining ingredients (except Topping ingredients). Bring mixture just to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 45 to 55 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl, combine avocado and lime juice. To serve chili, ladle chili into bowls; top with sour cream and chopped avocado.
Makes about 6 servings.
