    Ballpark-Style Yellow Mustard

    "This mustard is an American classic."

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ 1 cup water
    â—¦ ¾ cup dry mustard powder
    â—¦ ¾ teaspoon coarse sea salt or kosher salt
    â—¦ ½ teaspoon turmeric
    â—¦ â…› teaspoon garlic powder
    â—¦ â…› teaspoon paprika
    â—¦ ½ cup white distilled vinegar

    Recipe

    Place the water, mustard powder, salt, turmeric, garlic, and paprika in a small nonreactive saucepan and whisk until smooth.

    Cook the mixture over medium-low heat for 1 hour, stirring often. Whisk in the vinegar and continue to cook until the mustard has thickened to the desired consistency. Allow the mustard to cool, transfer an airtight consistency, and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 year.

    Makes 1 cup
