Fresh Herb Chutney

List of Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves (or a combination of other fresh herb leaves, such as mint, cilantro, tarragon and Italian parsley)
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion
- 1 small fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Process until the mixture is just pureed. Taste and adjust the seasonings.
Serve immediately as a condiment; the dish will keep for only a few hours.
Makes about 1 cup.
