Original Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

• 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  
• 1 tsp baking soda
  
• 1 tsp salt
  
• 1 cup butter, softened
  
• ¾ cup granulated sugar
  
• ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
  
• 2 eggs
  
• 12 ounces (2 cups) semisweet chocolate morsels
  
• 1 cup chopped nuts
  






Instructions



1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
   
   
2. Combine flour, soda and salt in a small bowl; set aside. Combine butter, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts.
   
   
3. Drop by level measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes.
   
   Makes 5 dozen cookies.
