Russian Butter Cookies

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar (plus extra to roll cookies in)
- 2-1/4 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Mix well the butter, 1/2 cup sugar, flour, vanilla, salt and walnuts.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on cookie sheets. Chill for several hours.
- Bake at 400 degrees (F) for 10 to 12 minutes. Roll at once in confectioners' sugar. Cool, then roll again in confectioners' sugar.
Yield: 4 dozen
