    List of Ingredients


    • 2 Tbsp sugar
    • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
    • ½ cup butter, softened
    • 1½ cups sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 tsp cream of tartar
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • ¼ tsp salt


    Instructions


    1. Stir together 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon, and set aside.

    2. Beat butter and 1½ cups sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; add eggs, one at a time, beating just until blended after each addition. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended.

    3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on an aluminum-foil lined baking sheet. Bake at 350° 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Transfer to wire racks to cool.

      Makes 3½ dozen.
