Toll House Cookies

List of Ingredients
- 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups (one 12-oz. package) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 375 degrees (F).
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.
- In bowl of electric mixer, using paddle attachment, cream butter and sugars at medium-high speed until light, about 2 minutes. Blend in vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mixing at low speed, gradually add flour mixture.
- Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 minutes, or until golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks and cool completely.
Yield: 5 dozen cookies
