    Toll House Cookies

    List of Ingredients


    • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
    • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 large eggs
    • 2 cups (one 12-oz. package) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
    • 1 cup chopped nuts


    Instructions


    1. Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 375 degrees (F).

    2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.

    3. In bowl of electric mixer, using paddle attachment, cream butter and sugars at medium-high speed until light, about 2 minutes. Blend in vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    4. Mixing at low speed, gradually add flour mixture.

    5. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.

    6. Bake for 9 minutes, or until golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks and cool completely.

      Yield: 5 dozen cookies
