- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine the corn syrup, water, cocoa powder and sugar in a small, heavy saucepan. Cook the mixture over high heat, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Cool and store the syrup in an airtight container; it can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
Makes about 3/4 cup syrup.
