    Italian Baked Peaches

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 large ripe peaches
    • 1/3 cup butter, at room temperature
    • 1/3 cup brown sugar
    • 3/4 cup almonds, ground or finely chopped
    • 2 Tbsp amaretto or Marsala


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F).

    2. With a deep ladle, dip peaches in boiling water for 2 to 3 seconds; remove and peel. Cut in half and remove stones, scraping away any red veins. Place peaches cut side up in a baking dish.

    3. Mash butter and sugar together, then blend in ground almonds. Fill peach centers with almond mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Add amaretto or Marsala to each peach and bake until bubbly (another 10 to 15 minutes).

      Serve warm or cold.

      Serves 4 to 8
