Three-Berry Compote

List of Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries, hulled and roll cut
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1 pint raspberries
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon grated orange zest
- â…› teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, brown sugar, orange zest, and 2 tablespoons water.
- Bring to a boil, then immediately turn off the heat. Let cool slightly, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
Serve warm or chilled. (The compote will keep for up to 5 days, covered, in the refrigerator.)
