List of Ingredients
- ¾ cup dried lavender
- ¾ cup dried buckwheat hulls
- 3 Tbsp orris root chips per pillow
- 8 drops lavender essential oil per pillow
- ¼ yard tightly woven natural fabric, such as silk
Instructions
- To make the lavender mix:
Combine the lavender and buckwheat hulls in a glass bowl. Make a well in the center of the mix, and add orris root. Pour essential oil into the orris root chips, and stir the mixture. Place mixture in a sealed container in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, the mixture is ready to fill eye pillows.
- To make the eye pillow case:
Cut two 8½ x 4-inch rectangles from fabric. (You may trim the rectangle into a heart-shape, but be sure to keep the finished dimension 8 x 3½ inches.
- With the right sides facing, stitch around the rectangle ⅜ inch from the raw edge, leaving a 2-inch opening. Trim the seam, and turn the pillow right side out. Fill the pillow with the lavender mixture. Slipstitch the opening closed.
To Use:
Give the pillow a squeeze, and place on eyes. Relax and enjoy!
