Recipe Introduction
"This gloriously sweet nectar will tickle anyone's taste buds. You can use this same method to flavor vodka with a variety of candies, such as jelly beans or babies, Turkish delight, or butterscotch. It's a perfect drink to personalize with someone's favorite candies."
Put the caramels into a wide-necked sealable jar. Pour over the vodka and allow the caramels to dissolve slowly. Seal the jar and store in a dark, cool place. Leave to infuse for a week, shaking every day to ensure the caramels are totally dissolved. (If you don't have the time, you can melt the caramels instead. Simply put the caramels in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water and leave to melt. Then, carefully transfer the liquid caramel into the jar and stir in the vodka. Seal and store as above.)
Decant the liqueur into sterilized bottles, seal, and label. This bottle of loveliness keeps indefinitely. Shake well before using, as some caramels can cause it to separate on standing.
