    Christmas: Aunt Peggy's Cranberry Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup water
    • 1 cup sugar
    • One 12-ounce package cranberries, fresh or frozen


    Instructions


    1. Combine the water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the cranberries and return to a boil. Lower the heat to medium and boil gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover, and cool completely at room temperature at room temperature. Refrigerate until serving time.

      Makes about 2-1/4 cups.
