    Christmas: Jim Beam Bourbon Egg Nog

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 large egg yolks
    • ¾ cup sugar
    • 2½ cups milk, divided use
    • ¾ cup Jim Beam bourbon or other bourbon
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • ¼ tsp nutmeg


    Instructions


    1. Beat egg yolks and sugar in saucepan. Slowly beat in 2 cups of milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture coats the back of a metal spoon.

    2. Remove from heat and strain into serving bowl. Stir in remaining milk, Jim Beam, vanilla and nutmeg.

    3. Serve warm. Or, you can cover and chill at least 8 hours. Sprinkle with nutmeg before serving.

      Makes 6 servings.
