Father's Day: Dad's Perfect Prime Rib

List of Ingredients
- One 4- to 6-pound boneless beef rib roast
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic (more to taste)
- 3 Tbsp cracked black pepper
- Two 4-pound packages rock salt
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Brush roast with Worcestershire; rub with minced garlic. Rub pepper on all sides of roast.
- Pour rock salt to depth of 1/2 inch in a disposable aluminum foil roasting pan; place roast in center of pan. Add remaining rock salt, covering roast. Sprinkle with water.
- Bake at 500°F for 12 minutes per pound, or until meat thermometer registers 150°F (for medium-rare) or to desired degree of doneness. Crack salt with a hammer; remove roast, and brush away rock salt.
Makes 8 servings.
