"When I see the first gorgeous baskets of strawberries at the markets, I perk up, knowing that spring has truly arrived. Strawberry season lasts throughout the summer, so you'll find that this sauce goes perfectly well with any summer fruit ice cream, sorbet, or frozen yogurt."
List of Ingredients
◦ 1 pounds fresh strawberries, rinsed and hulled
◦ cup sugar
◦ 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Recipe
Pure the strawberries with the sugar and lemon juice in a blender or food processor, until smooth.
Press the pure through a mesh strainer to remove the seeds.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Makes 2 cups

This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
