Recipe Introduction
"Hot chocolate in hot weather may sound a little crazy, but *frozen* hot chocolate is something altogether different and fabulous. It's got everything I love—the richness of hot chocolate and the nuttiness of peanut butter in one glass. When it's hot out there, you deserve this cool, tasty treat."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 1 (3-ounce) dark chocolate bar (70% cacao), chopped
â—¦ 2 (1.5-ounce) packages peanut butter cups, chopped
â—¦ 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
â—¦ 1 tablespoon sugar
â—¦ 1 ½ cups whole milk
â—¦ 1 tablespoon hot chocolate mix
â—¦ Whipped cream, chopped peanut butter cups, and chocolate sauce (optional)
Recipe
Mix the dark chocolate, peanut butter cups, peanut butter, sugar, and ½ cup of the milk in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on high in 20-second intervals, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate is melted and evenly incorporated. Add the hot chocolate mix and stir until thoroughly blended. Place the mixture in the refrigerator to cool.
Place the remaining 1 cup milk, the cooled chocolate mixture, and 2 ½ cups ice in a blender and mix until completely smooth. Pour into tall glasses and top each with a spoonful of whipped cream, chopped peanut butter cups, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce, if desired.
