• 2 cups flour
  
• 3/4 tsp baking soda
  
• 3/4 tsp salt
  
• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
  
• 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  
• 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  
• 1 large egg
  
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
  
• 1 (12-oz.) pkg. M&M Semisweet Chocolate Baking Bits
  






Instructions



1. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in M&Ms bits.
   
   
2. Drop cookie batter by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet(s). Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 9 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool for 1 minute in pan.
   
   TIP: For chewy cookies, begin checking for doneness at 8 minutes.
