    Pepper Steak with Cognac Cream

    List of Ingredients


    • Cracked pepper
    • 1 (2-1/2-lb.) filet mignon
    • 4 to 5 Tbsp cognac
    • 1/3 cup heavy cream


    Instructions


    1. Press cracked pepper (as much as desired) on both sides of steak. Let it sit for one hour. Pan fry almost to desired doneness.

    2. Pour cognac over steaks and stir in cream. Heat until warmed through. Place steaks on a plate and cover with sauce.

      Serve with panfried potatoes, steamed cauliflower, and salad.

      Makes 6 to 8 servings.
