Pepper Steak with Cognac Cream

- Cracked pepper
- 1 (2-1/2-lb.) filet mignon
- 4 to 5 Tbsp cognac
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Press cracked pepper (as much as desired) on both sides of steak. Let it sit for one hour. Pan fry almost to desired doneness.
- Pour cognac over steaks and stir in cream. Heat until warmed through. Place steaks on a plate and cover with sauce.
Serve with panfried potatoes, steamed cauliflower, and salad.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
