List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 to 1 onion (to taste), finely chopped
- 1 can mushroom soup, plus 1 soup can milk
- Salt, coarsely ground black pepper, cayenne, and seasoning salt to taste
- 4 toasted bread slices
Instructions
- Season the ground beef with seasonings to taste. Brown the ground beef with the onion in a large cast iron skillet.
- Meanwhile, combine the soup and milk and heat over medium heat in a separate saucepan, whisking occasionally. When the ground beef is browned, drain well and add to the soup mixture. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Spoon mixture over toast slices to serve.
