Recipe Introduction
"This recipe couldn't be easier to pull together. Any other citrus you happen to have on hand can be substituted for the lemon, and the result will be just as delicious and bright. I think this dish is perfect as is, but if you want some sweetness, a drizzle of honey at the end is a wonderful addition."
List of Ingredients
â—¦ 2 tablespoons olive oil
â—¦ 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on
â—¦ ½ teaspoon kosher salt
â—¦ ¼ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
â—¦ 3 cloves garlic, minced
â—¦ Grated zest and juice of 1 lemon (about 3 tablespoons juice)
Recipe
Add the olive oil to a medium skillet set over medium heat.
Season the salmon with the salt and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the salmon skin side down and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for 10 seconds. Add the lemon zest and juice and remove from the heat. Serve the salmon with the lemon sauce drizzled over each fillet.
