Bacon Popcorn

- 4 bacon slices
- 1 Tbsp butter
- â…“ cup popping corn
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tsp buttermilk ranch dressing mix
- ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat 5 minutes or until crisp; remove bacon, reserving drippings, and drain on paper towels. Coarsely chop bacon.
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter with bacon drippings in a heavy-bottomed 4-quart saucepan with a lid over medium-high heat. Add popping corn, and cook, covered, shaking occasionally, until most corn is popped (popping noise will slow to less than 5 pops every 10 seconds). Remove from heat, and cool 1 minute.
- Pour popcorn into a large brown paper bag. Add bacon, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, dressing mix, and pepper. Shake vigorously, and serve immediately.
