    Bacon Popcorn

    From "Southern Living Bourbon & Bacon"

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 bacon slices
    • 1 Tbsp butter
    • â…“ cup popping corn
    • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
    • 2 tsp buttermilk ranch dressing mix
    • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper


    Instructions


    1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat 5 minutes or until crisp; remove bacon, reserving drippings, and drain on paper towels. Coarsely chop bacon.

    2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter with bacon drippings in a heavy-bottomed 4-quart saucepan with a lid over medium-high heat. Add popping corn, and cook, covered, shaking occasionally, until most corn is popped (popping noise will slow to less than 5 pops every 10 seconds). Remove from heat, and cool 1 minute.

    3. Pour popcorn into a large brown paper bag. Add bacon, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, dressing mix, and pepper. Shake vigorously, and serve immediately.

      Makes 2 to 3 servings
