Garlic Pita Chips

- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1-1/2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 4 (5- to 6-inch) white or whole wheat pita breads, split
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees (F).
- Melt butter over low heat with garlic and pepper in a small saucepan. Lightly brush butter mixture onto cut side of pita halves.
- Cut each pita half into 6 wedges and place, buttered side up, on a large cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes, until toasted. (Can be made ahead. Wrap well and store at room temperature up to 2 days.)

Makes 48 chips.
