Bacon and Cheese Grits

- 1½ cups grits, uncooked
- 3 cups grated Cheddar cheese, divided
- 3 eggs, beaten
- â…“ cup milk
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 5 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook grits according to package directions; remove from heat. Add 2 cups cheese, eggs, milk, cayenne pepper, and 3 slices crumbled bacon; stir well.
- Pour into greased 3-quart baking dish. Top with remaining 1 cup cheese and 2 slices cooked, crumbled bacon. Bake 20 minutes.
Serves 8 to 10
