Best Iced Tea Ever
Source of Recipe

Recipe Introduction
"This recipe, given to me by my cousin Lottie, is the very best version of our Southern 'sweet' iced tea that I've ever found. The lemons make it tart enough even for Northerners. Be sure to remove the rind from the lemon (a potato peeler makes it easy) before squeezing out the juice."
List of Ingredients
◦ 1 "running over" cup sugar
◦ 2 quarts cold water
◦ The juice and rind (in strips) of 2 lemons
◦ 5 regular tea bags
Recipe
Combine the sugar, water, and lemon juice in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
Add the lemon rind and tea bags, cover the pan, and allow to steep for 20 minutes.
Strain the tea into a large pitcher, chill, and serve.
Makes 2 quarts
