Country Ham Biscuits

List of Ingredients
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
- 2 tsp Creole mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 16 buttermilk biscuits
- Two 8-ounce slices aged country ham, fried and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 6 ounces aged Swiss cheese, cut into 1-inch slices
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, combine the butter, mustard, Worcestershire, and sesame seeds and mix till well blended.
- Open the biscuits and spread the mixture on both interior surfaces. Place a piece of ham and a slice of cheese on the bottom of each biscuit, add the tops, and heat in the oven till the cheese melts, about 10 minutes.
- Serve the biscuits as snacks on a luncheon buffet.
Yield: 16 biscuits; 8 servings
• To toast sesame seeds:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Scatter the seeds evenly on a baking sheet and toast in the oven, stirring, till golden brown, about 10 minutes. Let cool.
