    Country Lemonade

    From "Eula Mae's Cajun Kitchen" by Eula Mae Dore

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 quart water
    • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from 8 to 10 lemons)
    • Lemon wedges or slices for garnish
    • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish


    Instructions


    1. Combine the sugar and water in a large pitcher. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the lemon juice and stir to mix. Cover and chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.

      To serve:
      Add crushed ice to tall glasses and pour the lemonade over it. Garnish with lemon slices and mint.

      Makes about 8 servings.
