Country Sausage and Gravy

List of Ingredients
- 1 pound pork sausage, sliced
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In an iron skillet over medium heat brown the sausage slices on both sides. Remove to a hot platter to keep warm.
- Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of the sausage fat from the skillet. Add the flour and stir with a wire whisk until the flour has browned.
- Slowly whisk in the milk and water and cook until the desired thickness. Season to taste. Pour into a warm gravy boat. Serve the sausage and gravy while they are hot.
Makes 4 servings.
