Final Comments
"Mint juleps were first made in Georgia; however Virginia lays claim to this distinction also. Kentucky must take credit for the julep's popularity since it is the official drink of the Famous Horserace. Mint Juleps are a traditional Southern favorite and one great for sipping while sitting on the front porch on a warm summer afternoon."
