Slow Cooker Red Beans and Rice

List of Ingredients
- 1 pound dried red beans
- 1 pound Cajun smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 smoked ham hock
- 3 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 8 cups water
- 2 tsp salt

- Cooked hot white rice
Instructions
- Sort and rinse the beans as directed on the package.
- In the bowl of a 4-quart slow cooker, combine the beans, sausage, ham hock, celery, bell pepper, onion, garlic, water, and salt, and stir well. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or until the beans are done to your liking.
- Serve over hot white rice.
