Venison: Hill Country Casserole

List of Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pound ground venison
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- Two 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
- 1 (8-ounce) package small egg noodles
- 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1½ cups sour cream
- 6 green onions, chopped
- ½ pound Cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a skillet, sauté the garlic in the olive oil. Add the meat to the skillet and brown. Add salt, pepper and the tomato sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Cook the noodles according to package directions.
In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and green onions.
- Place noodles in a greased 13- x 9-inch casserole. Top with cream cheese mixture, and then the meat mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top. Bake, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
