Baked Crabmeat with Biscuits

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup green pepper...chopped
- 1/2 cup onion...chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 lb can of tomatoes
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 6oz packs of frozen crab meat...thawed and drained and cleaned
- 1 cup american cheese...shredded
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 1 can refrigerator biscuits
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375*
- Melt the butter, saute the green pepper and onion until the pepper is tender.
- Blend in the flour and the dry mustard.
- Slowly stir in the tomatoes and worcestershire sauce.
- Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a slow boil and thickens a bit.
- Add the crab meat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the cheese and the sherry.
- Pour into a 2 qt casserole dish.
- Open the biscuits and separate them. Cut each into quarters. Lay on top of the casserole mixture, points up.
- Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are done.
Final Comments
If you're at the shore and can catch your own crabs, all the better.
