    Baked Crabmeat with Biscuits

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup green pepper...chopped
    • 1/2 cup onion...chopped
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 1 tsp dry mustard
    • 1 lb can of tomatoes
    • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
    • 2 6oz packs of frozen crab meat...thawed and drained and cleaned
    • 1 cup american cheese...shredded
    • 1/4 cup sherry
    • 1 can refrigerator biscuits


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375*

    2. Melt the butter, saute the green pepper and onion until the pepper is tender.

    3. Blend in the flour and the dry mustard.

    4. Slowly stir in the tomatoes and worcestershire sauce.

    5. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a slow boil and thickens a bit.

    6. Add the crab meat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.

    7. Stir in the cheese and the sherry.

    8. Pour into a 2 qt casserole dish.

    9. Open the biscuits and separate them. Cut each into quarters. Lay on top of the casserole mixture, points up.

    10. Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are done.



    Final Comments


    If you're at the shore and can catch your own crabs, all the better.
