    Morning Pecan Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 8oz pkg brown and serve sausage patties
    • 1 16 oz loaf raisin bread, cubed
    • 6 eggs
    • 1 1/2 c milk
    • 1 1/2 c half and half
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1 c packed brown sugar
    • 1 c coarsely chopped pecans
    • 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
    • 2 TBP maple syrup or maple flavored syrup


    Instructions


    1. In a medium skillet brown the sausage over med-high heat. Drain off fat, cut patties into bite size pieces.

    2. Spray a 9x13 (3qt) baking dish with non stick spray. Place bread cubes in dish. Add browned sausage pieces.

    3. In a lg mixing bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, cream, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

    4. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

    5. For topping, combine brown sugar, pecans, butter and syrup. Drop by teaspoonfuls over top of egg mixture.

    6. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
