    1 1/2 c. flour
    3 t. baking powder
    1/4 t. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 t. vanilla

    Filling:
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 T. flour
    2 t. cinnamon
    2 T. butter, melted
    1/2 c. nuts

    Recipe



    Sift dry ingredients and cut in the shortening until fine. Blend in egg mixed with milk. Add vanilla. Beat just enough to mix. Pour 1/2 of batter in greased pan and sprinkle with filling. Finish filling pan with batter and filling. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 375.
