    Source of Recipe

Southern Living October 1992 with additions by yours truly!

    Recipe Introduction

Frogmore stew is a mixture of sausage, potatoes, corn and shrimp, seasoned ith Old Bay(best) or another seafood boil!

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4 + cup Old Bay Seasoning
    • 4 lbs. small red potatoes
    • 2 lbs. smoked sausage or andouille, cut in 1/2" slices
    • 6-8 ears fresh ears corn, halved
    • 3 lbs. large shrimp, I prefer head on!
    • 5 lemons, squeezed and thrown in
    • 3-4 onions halved
    • 3-4 heads garlic cut in half
    • Louisiana Hot Sauce
    • Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning to taste

    Instructions

    1. Fill large pot about halfway with water. Add Old Bay, lemons, garlic, onions, Mr. Tony's and Hot sauce. Taste the water, if it's SPICY, it's right.
    2. Bring to a boil on an outdoor propane cooker.
    3. Add potatoes, return to a boil and cook 10 minutes.
    4. Add sausage and corn; return to a boil and cook 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    5. Add shrimp; cook 3-5 minutes or until shrimp are pink.
    6. Remove with a slotted spoon. Serve with additional Old Bay and cocktail sauce
