Recipe Introduction
This is a wonderful jelly. I made pickled beets and saved the juice from that and also once, when we had boiled beets for supper, I saved the juice from that, and stored in the fridge until I felt like making the jelly. (Worked well, as there was sediment settled at the bottom of the bowl and I was able to remove it easier.)
List of Ingredients
3 c. beet juice (peel beets) in which beets are cooked
2 tbsp. lemon juice, (I use bottled)
1 box of certo
Bring this to a boil and add:
4 cups sugar
1 box jello (raspberry, grape, cherry or strawberry)
Recipe
Boil for 6 minutes. WATCH closely as it will boil over very easily.
