Recipe Introduction
For an 8 inch pie
List of Ingredients
1 lb. shortening
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder (optional)
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 c. cold waterRecipe
Place 1st 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Using table knife, cut shortening into walnut sized ieces with pastry cutter, cut shortening in until size of peas. Sprinkle water overtop. Toss and stir with fork until it clings and forms a ball. Divide into 4 balls (flat patties) Wrap and chill. Makes 6-8 inch pie shells.
