    ****FILLING******

    1 1/2 lb ground beef
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped green pepper
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp oregano (I substituted italian seasoning)
    Dash of salt
    1/2 cup water
    1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce
    1 (1.5 oz) dry spagetti sauce mix

    *********Batter*********

    1 cup milk
    1 cup flour
    1 Tbls oil (I used flavored olive oil)
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt

    ********Misc********

    7 oz jack or mozzerella cheese slices
    1/2 c parmesan cheese, grated

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 400°F. For the filling; brown hamburger and drain. Stir in onion, green pepper, garlic, oregano, salt, water, hot water and sauce mix; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. For the batter; in a bowl, combine milk, oil eggs; beat 1 minute. Add flour, salt and beat 2 more minutes or until smooth.

    To Assemble; Pour hot meat mix into a 13x9" pan; top with cheese slices. Pour batter over cheese, covering and filling completely, sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until puffed and brown. WATCH CAREFULLY, THIS WILL BURN THE LAST 5 OR SO MINUTES.
