    Brownie Angel Pie

    List of Ingredients

    meringue Crust:

    3 egg whites, room temperature
    pinch of salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. chocholate wafer crumbs
    1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
    1/2 tsp. vanilla


    Filling:

    1 c. whipped cream or 1 envelope
    2 tbsp. cocoa
    1 tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1-2 tbsp. grated chocholate

    Recipe

    Merignue Crust: Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar in mixing bowl until stiff froth. Beat in sugar gradually, beating until very stiff and sugar is dissolved. Fold in wafer crumbs, pecans, and vanilla. Spread in 9" pan forming shell. Bake in 325 degree oven about 35 minutes until dry. Cool.


    Filling: Beat cream, cocoa, sugar and vanilla in small bowl til stiff. Spread over pie. Sprinkle with grated chocholate.
